ABOUT

Undeniable pop energy meets emotional fluency in Kenzie Cait’s music. Based in Nashville, Kenzie has developed a reputation for synth-pop confessionals that are at once vividly realized, highly emotional, and effortlessly relatable. Her 2025 EP, sunkissed, marks her latest sonic evolution: a neon-lit, Y2K-inspired joyride that captures all the euphoric highs and chaotic lows of a single night out.

Over the course of six tracks, Kenzie invites listeners into her summery world, one that truly comes alive once the sun goes down. Expanding the foundation of her previous projects, sun kissed isn’t about heartbreak and recovery. Instead, she’s deftly exploring themes of avoidance, physicality, desire, and introspection.

Speaking about the EP, she shares, “I wanted to make people feel the most without saying the most.” Her practice in restraint — brought to life through co-writing with Kaitlin Stark and Eli Patterson, and vocal engineering by Roy Lenzo — has yielded a record about feeling, without the pressure to explain.

From the shimmering first single "downtown" to the come-down of "misery," sunkissed strikes a balance between catching a groove and riding out a gut-punch. The EP’s vulnerable midpoint — a refreshing, country-leaning moment titled "cowgirl interlude" — nods to Kenzie's artistic roots in Nashville. “It’s the only love song in my discography,” she laughs.

Her most expansive work to date, sun kissed folds in the nostalgia of early-2000s hits with the polish of modern hyperpop, grounding each glitter-drenched track in something heartfelt and authentic. There are songs for the pregame, the peak of the night, and the lonely Uber ride home.

Now with a headlining tour under her belt, Kenzie is stepping confidently into her new era, still focused on creating music to be shared, whether in the form of a live concert or a friend sharing a streaming link. As a guitarist and writer who was told she began humming melodies before she could speak, music is truly embedded into Kenzie’s DNA; her work carries a communal sense of understanding. As someone who has spent her life committed to loving the artists who inspire her, she’s still a fan’s fan through and through — but these days, her spotlight is only getting brighter.
